Okanagan Ballooning has been operating for 12 years within the Valley. Our main pilot John Klempner has been
certified with Transport Canada as a certified balloon pilot for over 10 years and has flown over 30,000 passengers
in both free flights and tethered events. He became involved in ballooning as a crew member in 1994 after going on
his first flight. His passion for the sport was not quenched while he was grounded so he pursued his pilots license
through Transport Canada. His passion has been contagious leading his wife, Joy and their 3 children to become
involved in the sport. His youngest passenger of record is their younger daughter at 3 years old, the oldest
passenger was not a relation but was a young 94 years old.
Okanagan Ballooning is a family owned and operated business with experienced passionate crew to help set up and
take down the over 5 storey tall balloon. Our crew varies in age from 16 to 70. They are all fun and professional,
able to do it all from jump fences to host a picnic.
We understand people approach Hot Air Ballooning with different expectations and we strive to exceed them. We added
a Hummer H2 to our fleet of vehicles to pick up our passengers and for larger groups we also have a comfortable
15 passenger van.
